Full Description

{3} The survey of the ridge and furrow within the proposed development demonstrated that the system was spaced at around 4.9m and is probably medieval in origin.
A single set of roughly east-west orientated ridge and furrow was surveyed within the study area, comprising 10 ridges and 9 furrows. The average spacing of the furrows was 8.2m and was mostly straight with a slight curve at the west end. Plan: Fig.4.
The bases of some furrows were exposed within the evaluation trenches.
