Summary

Site of a brewery which was operational by 1889 when it was registered as T. Manning and Company Limited. By 1933 it was acquired by P Phipps and Company Limited and closed. The brewery was demolished during the late 20th century to make way for road widening.

Full Description

{1}Possible C19th brewery; complex of buildings destroyed by road raising operations. The original brewhouse was red brick with tile roof & circular red brick chimney. Other brewery buidings were brown stone buildings with slate roofs.
