Full Description

{3} Trenches 1-5 at the northernmost extent of the site contained remnants of a former agricultural system in the form of north-south aligned furrows. (Many of these had had land drains inserted at a later date.)
Further evidence of medieval/post medieval agricultural practice was present in Trenches 7 and 8 in the form of north-south orientated furrows.
Further north-south aligned furrows were present in Trenches 14, 16 and 17.

{4} Ridge and furrow across the landscape, in several different orientations within the excavated area, presumably demarcating earlier field boundaries.
