Summary

Earthworks of medieval/post-medieval ridge and furrow cultivation identified on aerial photographs during the Open Fields Project. The ridge and furrow is extant on the latest 2008 specialist oblique photography.

Full Description

{3} Medieval ridge and furrow is visible as earthworks in the vicinity of Sibbertoft, at SP 685 827. A medieval boundary previously recorded by the Northamptonshire NMP is most likely a plough headland [HER 687/0/11], but is not clearly visible on the available photographs. The ridge and furrow is extant on the latest 2008 specialist oblique photography.
