Monument record 6344/1 - 19th century brickworks, north-east of mount Farm

Summary

Between 1853 and 1855 a brickworks was constructed. It also included lime kilns, offices and kilns for pottery. A railway was constructed from a siding off the LNWR to DirtHouse (Mount Farm). A single building is still shown on the modern Ordnance Survey map which is probably the former Smith and Carpenter's Shop.
