Summary

W.T. Carter & Sons, Boot & Shoe Manufacturer (Formerly John Collins?). Later Barbour Threads. A three storey boot and shoe factory built on the west side of Overstone Road. This roughly rectangular-plan building is constructed from red brick with a pitched roof covered in slate. Ordnance Survey and other maps, suggest that it was built c.1880.
