Summary
National Union of Boot & Shoe Operatives' Club & Institute (Formerly Bird Brothers Boot Makers). A trade union (Society of Operative Cordwainers) club and offices probably converted from a small boot and shoe factory. Full Description

{2} A level 2 building recording survey was carried out prior to alterations of adjacent buildings at no 111 and 105-109 Overstone Road. Originally built as dwelling houses in the 1870s or early 1880s, with no 111 being converted to a trade union office in the mid 1890s, which was relocated to 107-109 between 1900-1905. In the same period no 111 was extended to provide a bar and reading room and a large hall was created by removing internal partitions.
