Full Description
{1} Brickworks worked by James Marriot "on his own estate"; site not yet known.
{2} James Marriott had a brickworks at Nether Heyford but lived in Flore. I have been told that he owned land and a barn (Marriotts barn, SP650615) off Brington Road and made land drains there for a few years about 1800. The barn was pulled down about 1985, when a double sided datestone was removed and incorporated into The Croft, Kings Lane.
