Full Description
(1)Oval settlement enclosure 130 by 80 metres internally, formed at least in part by double banks spread over 16-18 metres, and a ditch except where bounded by steep ground. The evidence relates to a fragment of the double banks at SP7420 7083, which can be distinguished from the accompanying ridge and furrow. Site in RCHM Inv Vol 3 Brixworth 4 and 26 reference Bronze Age and Saxon finds by D Hall in 1974.
{3} revisit to site. The apparent curve in the field to couth is confused by a low boundary bank parallel to the hedge and curving lynchet above and there are no traces of the south arc of this enclosure. However, the twin banks in the north east arc should still count as evidence of something here.
