Full Description
(1) Report describes a number of good quality masonry finds: two parts of a mullion with circular tracery; carved head on corbel; chamfered door or window; datestone AD 1411; other pieces. These were found during renovation works reused/under or near 18th century buildings.
(2) One possible source is the demolition of the old Boughton Hall in the first two decades of the 19th century but Mr Digby has seen documentary evidence at Northants Records Office showing the barn as earlier than 1750. Another possibility is the ruin to the south which Mrs Stuart recalls in the 1950's as still part standing with arched window, (see separate report).
