Full Description
{1} Site 18. Nineteen individual small settlements were discovered on glacial gravel and close to the River Avon.
Analysis of the flint assemblages revealed a mixed period of occupation ranging from the early Neolithic to the early Bronze Age. Burnt flints, indicative of hearths, were found on thirteen of the sites, and from this it is likely that there was permanent settlement. Summary of finds assemblage on p.58.
