Full Description
[1} The common fields of the deserted village of Silsworth were enclosed at an unknwn date before 1594. A field to the east of the village, known as Silsworth Middle Field, is shown on a map of 1631. Although much of the ridge and furrow of these fields has been destroyed it can all be traced from air photographs arranged in end-on and interlocked furlongs.
