Summary

This house was home to a boot maker in 1906 and may have earlier links with the leather trades. The rear yard which may retain workshops associated with the trade, was not seen. The double-fronted, central entry house has a rendered north elevation to the street, but its low proportions and timber lintels suggest origins probably no later than the 18th century. The roof has been re-laid with concrete tiles.
