Summary

This shoe machinery engineering works has as its origin a two storey, three bay, central entry house, constructed of limestone rubble with a rendered west front and probably dating from no later than the mid 19th century. From before 1884 until the early 1920s there were a series of outbuildings around a yard to the rear. These were swept away, perhaps as early as the 1920s and replaced by a large engineering shop.

{3} This shoe machinery engineering works has as its origin a two storey, three bay, central entry house, constructed of limestone rubble with a rendered west front and probably dating from no later than the mid 19th century. From before 1884 until the early 1920s there were a series of outbuildings around a yard to the rear. These were swept away, perhaps as early as the 1920s and replaced by a large engineering shop.
