Full Description

{1} A small, single storey, red brick chapel facing on to Milton Road and still in use by the church. (Film 16 Photo 17).

{2} A newspaper report of 17th Feb 1893 (from Wellingborough News) reports on the opening of the Mission Church and states that construction had started in November 1892. It also identified the architect as Mr. H.H. Packer. The building also functioned as the local infant school between c.1896 and 1904. Single storey red brick building with red tile roof. At one time it had a centralised octagonal bell turret. It was built to provide a vestry for a bigger church that was to be built on an adjacent plot; however the stagnated growth of Little Irchester meant that the main chuch was never built. Detailed external and internal description, plans and photos.
