Monument record 9980/0/10 - Block of Ridge & Furrow, north-west of Arthingworth Road

Earthworks of medieval/post-medieval ridge and cultivation identified on aerial photography and lidar imagery.

{1} The fields contain a large example of medieval ridge and furrow. Until recently there was an official sign on the gate of one of the fields.

{2} Land between Braybrooke Road and Arthingworth Road had a notice attached to gate saying that the field was an excellent example of ancient ridge and furrow, which is clearly visible.

{4} Field names: Potters Holm and Lansbury Close. Owned by Sir Thomas Tresham and Francis Tresham, having been purchased in 1596.
