Full Description

{2} The house appears for the first time on mapping in the 1880s. It is not shown on Ordnance Survey surveyors drawings of the early C19th, nor Bryants county map of 1827, so probably mid C19th in date. Perhaps a new build to replace an older farmhouse which was located in the main farmyard to the north-east (SMR Mon 8417/1/2). (This complex of buildings is shown on maps from c.1800, but is not of Eyre's county map published in 1791, but originally surveyed in the early C18th.)
