Monument record 4770/0/15 - The Broad Water (Ornamental Widening of The River Tove)

{1} Two distinct episodes of dumping alongside the River Tove were detected. The first was probably accumulated during the widening of The Tove to create The Broad Water. More discussion of The Broad Water on p.26.

{2} At least two phases of levee raising on the south side of the River Tove, presumably associated with the creation of the Broad Water in the 18th century.
