Full Description

{1} An early medieval soil horizon containing C12th-C13th pottery and some animal bone was sealed by a thick deposit of medieval to C18th date. The latter contained charcoal, ironstone, animal bone and pottery. This in turn was cut by a wall. A small rubbish pit containing modern glass bottles, bricks and blocks of iron slag was also revealed.
