Monument record 7705/0/1 - Possible Ditch, Undated

Cropmark of a ditch identified on aerial photography. However, trial trench excavationdid not identify any significant archaeological features.

{1} Aerial photo NCCAP:SP8578/005.

{2} An east-west linear anomaly located in the north of Field 2 appeared to represent a ditch on the basis of its higher magnetic intensity. (All other features detected in this area were thought to be naturally occuring or responses to modern gates etc.)
Excavation Trenches 1 and 2 were targeted to intercept the linear anomaly. No archaeologically significant features were found.

{3} An undated ditch was likely to have been a former field boundary.
