Full Description
{1} Cottage. 1900-01. By William Huckvale for Charles Rothschild. Coursed rubblestone with thatch roof and stone end stacks with moulded ashlar flues. Vernacular Revival style. T-plan, wing to rear. 2 storeys. 2-window range at first floor of leaded 2-light stone mullioned windows over similar 3-light windows. Central plank door with flat moulded wooden hood supported on shaped brackets. Similar windows, doors and lean-to extension to rear. Part of the significant group of the model estate buildings of Ashton built by Charles Rothschild.
