Full Description

{1} A series of c2m wide parallel furrows were cut into the subsoil. They are the furrows of a medieval ridge and furrow field system, with the ridges truncated by more recent ploughing. The furrows ran north west by south east and were set 8m apart.

{4} The magnetometer results show traces of ridge and furrow cultivation, which can be clearly seen in the field as earthworks.
