Full Description

{1} Extending across the road corridor on an east-north-east to west-south-west alignment was a small, linear ditch. No artefactual dating evidence was recovered from the fill of the ditch although it was cut by medieval furrows. Association with a regular pattern of other small ditches identified by an earlier evaluation suggests that it probably forms part of a Roman or early medieval field system.
