Full Description

{1} Finds collected from the topsoil included 8 sherds of post medieval pottery. These finds have little archaeological significance since they are derived from the ploughsoil. It is usual that such finds are deposited via the manuring practices of the home farm. The large size and unabraded nature of the finds may alternatively suggest a post-medieval site in the vicinity from which the finds derive.
