Full Description

{1} The remainder of the wood is dotted with many pits and hollows; some are recent and others, apparently dating from the medieval period, are stone quarries.

{2} Undated quarry pits recorded by the Rockingham Forest Project Survey.

{3} Appears to be a working quarry as late as the 1950s.
