Full Description

{1} Quarry Pits (RFP Survey).

[HER note 01/05/2015: one of a series of linear features mapped by Hall, probably marking quarry edge, but no evidence of quarrying has been found on historic OS maps of the 1880s and 1950s. The scale of the mapping suggests ironstone quarrying, but does not appear to be covered in the volumes by Tonks.]
