Full Description
{1} Much of the site has in the past been quarried for ironstone. A limited number of remains exist from this period, primarily the tunnels that served Rat pit and Bridge Pit, which pass under Glendon Road and the A6003 respectively. British Steel maps suggest that this area of working immediately north of Glendon Road was restored before 1928.
