Monument record 9927/0/1 - Possible undated ditches, north of Norton Grounds

Geophysical survey undertaken in 2008 identified parallel features that may be infilled ditches. Other features may be land-drains or ploughed out ridge and furrow.

{1} Geophysical survey undertaken in 2008. Positive soil-filled features are indicated by chains of positive magnetic anomolies aligned broadly north-south in the northern half of the survey area. Soil-filled features possibly reflecting ditches or infilled drainage channels.
Very weak, evenly spaced, positive linear magnetic anomalies orientated north east/ south west could reflect a system of land drains, or possibly ridge and furrow remains.
