Full Description

{1} The present 2-storey building is difficult to reconcile with buildings shown on OS maps from 1885 to 1924 and appears to date from shortly afterwards. It does not appear to have been related to the small clothing factory established immediately to the north east but neither has any evidence for leather-trades uses been identified. The west side of the first floor is well lit and may indicate some kind of workshop use. As the ground floor has a wide entrance in the north gable, respected by the steps to the first floor, it may be that the first floor was used for a combination of office, storage or manufacture with the ground floor serving as a loading bay or warehouse.
