The older mill is rectangular in plan. It is of four storeys and is of 6 bays, the western one being a later addition. Adjoining the east end of the mill is a two-storey cottage of rendered stone. Attached to the east end of the cottage are two other two-storey dwellings. Joining the north side of the old mill is a taller 4 storey with attic storey mill of red brick and 7 bays. A more recent single storey concrete framed and ramp abuts the former engine house. Photos.
This complex provides an excellent example of the development of the use of a natural resource over a considerable period of years. No comparable site has survived elsewhere in Northamptonshire which makes it of county if not regional significance.
