A trial trench excavated across part of the western avenue from Easton Neston Park revealed two small gullies, which were undated.

Full Description
{1} Trial trenching undertaken in 1999 identified two parallel linear features cut into the natural subsoil towards the south end of the trench on a NW-SE alignment. Both features were 0.1m deep with steeply sloping sides and a more or less flat bottom. One was 0.6m wide and the other 0.4m wide. Both were filled with a very dark grey silty clay loam.
