Full Description

{2} A wall was exposed at a distance of 55.5m from the Slaughter House. It was 1m wide and 0.36m high with up to five courses of ironstone blocks surviving. It had originally been faced by dressed stones with sawn and chamfered edges. A pottery sherd of St Neots type/early medieval shelly ware was found at the base of the wall. The wall appears to have been orientated east-west but lies well outside the low earthwork which is thought to represent the boundary bank of the monastic precinct.
