Full Description

{1} Two pits or postholes were cut into the natural gravel. They were set 2m apart and packed with limestone and it is possible that they related to a Roman building of unknown size. Overlying these features was a buried soil containing large amounts of broken roof tile, redolent of a demolition deposit.
