Full Description

{1} Medieval pottery was found throughout the trenches. Most sherds were from jars/ cooking pots with only a few jug sherds. The few diagnostic form sherds indicate a date in the 13th century is most likely for their deposition. Their fragmentary and abraded state is redolent of manuring of agricultural land.
