Full Description
{1} The other farm buildings on the site include 2 pig hovels and a turkey hovel, 2 cart/stock hovels, a cart horse stable, a feed barn, a crop barn, stalls and a lean to. There is no evidence however that the use of these buildings hasn't changed over time. The group can be broken down into four phases of construction: late C18, crop barn, cart hovel, pig house and stock hovel on east side and cart horse stable, feed barn and turkey hovel on north side; early C19, pig hovel next to stable on north side; 2nd half of C19, alterations to pig hovel feed barn and cart horse stable on north side, lean-to on south side and re-roofing of all buildings; 2nd half C20, alterations and repairs.
