Full Description
{1} Within Northants buildings of undetermined function survive at cSP65708227 and SP65558210. There may be additional structures further east within the site of the former main accommodation/service areas.
{2}Structures surviving for Husbands Bosworth airfield." Parachute Store, Flootlight Tractor site and trailer shed, Night-flying Equipment store, huts. Ops block, Main Workshops (TB hutting) etc. Straddles Leics boundary."
{3} Parachute Store; WWII building, presently in use as a car repair workshop (D. D. Dorman & Son). This building, just visible on the 1941-43 RAF aerial photograph of the airfield and shown on the Airfield Plan was built as a parachute store (building No. 14), its distinctive raised ridge, purpose
built to provide the height to pack and hang the parachutes.
