Monument record 3124/8/1 - Mangers Factory (formerly H Coleman & Co), Wollaston Road

This small north-lit factory, probably devoted to boot and shoe manufacture, adjoins the east side of a pair of houses on the north side of Wollaston Road. In 1923 a building of industrial appearance was shown set back from the road. The buildings now extend to form a flush front with the houses. The south elevation is a plain rendered facade containing windows of the 1960s or 70s. To the rear there are large additions (not seen).

This small north-lit factory, probably originating in boot and shoe manufacture, and used as a slipper factory in 1940, adjoins the east side of a pair of houses on the north side of Wollaston Road. In 1923 a building of industrial appearance was shown set back from the road in this position. This has been extended southwards, under a north-lit roof, to form a flush front with the houses. The south elevation is a plain rendered façade containing windows of the 1960s or 70s. To the rear there are large additions (not seen), which may post-date leather-trades use of the site.
