Full Description

{2} T.C. Welsh identifies a square enclosure, 35 metres square, containing ridge and furrow. The enclosure is slightly higher than the surrounding meadow and is bounded on the north and south sides but an artificial ditch between twin banks. The bounds are more bank than ditch so the site is unlikely to be a moat. The enclosure could demarcate a cemetery owing to its proximity to other Saxon sites.
