Full Description

{1} Grid ref. SP97457870 - Late Iron Age and Roman pottery found on the edge of 19th century ironstone quarry, which must have destroyed at least half the site. Worked flints found but not in any quantity or concentration. Roman pottery and flints found in the quarried area around SP97307858 may be from the same site if the original topsoil was used in the land reclamation.
