Full Description

{1} After the destructio of the enclousre (8250/0/2) and its defences, habitation in this area was on a small scale, evidenced by rubbish demping in the enclosure ditch and in ditch D9. This was a shallow ditch within the main enclosure containing late Iron Age pottery. The animal bone remains of this period are unusual in that of the four main animal types commonly found, the sheep was entirely missing. There were also some fowl bones.
