Full Description
{1} Presence of felled timber restricted visibility, as did early season's vegetation growth. No major features were observed.
{3} Mentioned in Bridges 'John Mauntel had possession in the parish of a wood called Mauntell 's Wood'. The earliest reference is in 1346 to Maunteleswode.
