Full Description

{1} The bridge comprises a single simple mortared brick and partly cement rendered arch set on brick abutments c.11 courses high. The latter sit on a foundation course of rough hewn stone. The single brick thick arch has a partial covering of cement; there are no sides to the bridge. There is no visible architectural embellishment or decorative treatment. The bridge is undated but is considered to be of relatively recent origin - certainly not earlier than the 20th century and probably from the mid part of the century. Now demolished. Extending south from the bridge is a length of iron single rail fence - an unusual local feature.
