Full Description
{1} To the rear of Nos. 2-4 Sanders Terrace and reached by a narrow alley, is an L-shaped two-storeyed building which appears to have formed one or more workshops. Sight of this was limited, but map evidence suggests a relatively complex evolution. The 1884 OS map shows a single block divided in two, suggesting two distinct units. By 1899 a third had been added to the south (where a first-floor entrance or taking-in doorway is visible), and a longer four-bay range had been added extending to the west. The latter has closely spaced first-floor windows on the south elevation. The 1972 OS map suggests that the ground floor has been removed to provide yard access.
