Full Description
{1} A single course of roughly faced unmortared limestone blocks formed a footing approx 500mm wide. The wall foundation was aligned roughly east-west and was traced for a length of 3.5m; its ends were truncated by the limestone rubble layer. Beyond the foundation a shallow U-shaped ditch containing a loose limestone fill was aligned with Water lane. Neither feature contained pottery or other dateable artefacts.
