Full Description
{1} Three similar possible postholes in T9 contained no artefactual material and may be natural rather than archaeological in origin.
Located in the densely wooded extension of the building plot. A piece of coal and a sherd of St Neots ware were recovered from the subsoil.
A sub-circular posthole located 8.2m west of the east end of T9. It was 0.5m long x 0.36m wide x 0.07m deep. The sides were steeper to the east and the base was slightly concave. No finds.
A sub-circular posthole located 8.2m west of the east end of T9. It was 0.45m in diameter x 0.08m deep. The sides were concave with a concave base. No finds.
A possible sub-oval posthole located 10m west of the east end of T9. It was 0.6m long x 0.45m wide x 0.07m deep. It had concave sides and a concave base. No finds.
Eight irregular shallow areas of root activity were revealed located between 0.5m and 7.8m west of the east end of T9. They varied between 0.2-1.1m long x 0.2-1m wide x 0.02-0.09m deep. No finds were recovered from them.
