{1} Cold War Local Authority run District Emergency Centre. No further details available. Check with NCC Emergency Planning Dept for further information.

{2} District Emergency Centre located in basement of purpose built (1963) NCC Weights and Measures Dept (now Trading Standards Dept), Old Barby Road. DS employed here 1964-7.

{3} The new District Council Offices in Lodge Road (cSP5745 6271) were built on top of a new ..." unfinished bunker/basement”. AAs photos taken during construction of latter “taken around 1985”. Reinforcing rods on top of nearest part of the photographed structure identified by AA as presumably part of emergency exit. “The rest of the building was constructed from conventional concrete columns.”
