Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking in 1965 discovered possible Romano-British buildings with a limestone area and pot sherds (including Samian and a fragment of quern).

{3} Roman settlement.

{4} SP 84747709. RB farmstead. In 1965 RB pottery (including Samian) and a quernstone fragment were found. Evidence of a building was manifest in lumps of white limestone lying around on the surface.

{5} There are no surface remains visible, at present the indicated site is under a crop of beet. The pottery and quernstone are in the Grammar School Museum.
