Full Description

{1} Extensive series of well preserved 'hills and hollows' quarrying earthworks. Some of the pits are particularly deep; might represent collapse of underground workings? Other earthworks present including more open, undulating areas largely devoid of the hills and holes - may represent different form or date of extraction?
