Full Description

{1} The building comprises a rectangular single storey building of red mortared brick under a simple timber purlin and corrugated iron gabled roof. Four (or five?) bays, with enclosed room at the western end with wooden door in south elevation and wooden surround window in west elevation. The adjoining part of the building is open to the south apart from two (plus a missing third to the east?) square section timber upright posts with simple wooden capitals supporting the roof beam. No decorative treatment or embellishment observed. This agricultural field building is not in use. Some decay of brickwork walls is evident with corrugated iron roof heavily rusted and with signs of holes developing. Whilst negelcted, the building appears to remain largely intact without evident signs of vandaliam or widespread damage. Form and nature of this open sided building suggests that it was originally built as a stock shelter shed; almost certainly later 19th century.
