Full Description

{1} In the field below Nos. 74 and 76 Polwell Lane possible Roman rubbish pits were seen 9in below the surface. Three areas of disturbed earth, rectangular in shape, containing fragments of pottery, andimal bones and teeth. The pottery included Samian.It is possible that the dwelling with which the pit is associated is further up the slope under the gardens of Nos. 74/76.
